Production Introduction

Titanium grade 2 bar, known as pure titanium bar (or pipe) has a low density and high strength. The titanium grade 2 bar can be used in large anti-corrosion types of machinery such as medical equipment and biopharmaceutical industry, aerospace, or navigation. The titanium grade 2 bar contains excellent corrosion resistance and Excellent Bearing to cryogenic properties.

What is the Difference Between Prue Titanium and Titanium Alloy

Different references:

- Pure titanium: titanium has a silver-white metallic luster. The density is 4.51g · cm ^ - 3, which is the heaviest light metal.

 

- Titanium alloy: it is a new type of metal. The performance of titanium is related to the content of impurities such as carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen, and oxygen. The impurity content of the purest titanium iodide is no more than 0.1%, but it has low strength and high plasticity.

 

Different characteristics:

- Pure titanium: melting point (1668 ± 10) ℃, boiling point 3260 ℃. The melting point is higher than that of iron and nickel. The thermal conductivity at 25C is 14.99w · (m ·℃) ^ - 1, with only 1 / 6 of iron and 1 / 16 of aluminum, which is unfavorable to cutting and welding. In addition, titanium alloy has poor process performance and difficult machining. In hot machining, it is very easy to absorb impurities such as hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon. There is also poor wear resistance, and a complex production process.
